Swinhay House is a contemporary Country House built on the edge of the Cotswolds.
The vision for Swinhay House was to develop a futuristic house incorporating traditional and modern materials of Cotswold stone, glass, steel and wood within a beautiful landscape. The conceptual design for Swinhay House was developed with David Austin; the brief for the house fulfills an active life style both inside and outside. This has been achieved with the well equipped leisure facilities which include a 25 metre swimming pool with adjustable depth so all the family can enjoy it and a squash court. The two-lane bowling alley and cinema provide a fun element to the house.
The formal gardens have been designed to entice you to walk through, to fully appreciate the different themes. The gardens have been sunk to provide shelter and to ensure the view from the house is uninterrupted. The combination of slate and drystone walling provides a wonderful backdrop for the eloquent planting. The water features around the gardens provide tranquil reflective spaces that enhance the landscape experience.
